HOW DO YOU LOOK AFTER YOUR MENTAL WELLBEING?

“By booking into our schedule regular RECOVERY time and making it a top priority. We live in a fast-paced world, hooked up to a constant stream of communication and information (24/7 if we want to be!). Sometimes it might not be easy to slow down but you can ALWAYS take a time out to unplug, switch off and recover in amongst the rushing around. 10 minutes of meditation, a hot bath in the evening, an evening catching up with a friend and just getting it all off your chest, a walk in the park, an evening of no screens. This regular unplugging and focusing on recovery is key to our mental health in a fast-paced digital world and we can ALL do it.”

WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE SELF-CARE TIP?

“Ask yourself every day ‘What can I do for you? What do you need right now?’ Write the question on a post-it and have it on your mirror so you see it every morning or create a phone alert that pops up at the same time every day. Self-care is all about making sure you are getting what you need to feel happy, alive and well on a daily basis. So this little daily practice gets you into the habit of listening to your needs every day. It’s a simple tool that can be life changing!”
