LIFE + ME’S MINI INTERVIEW WITH FRANCESCA GEENS, CREATOR OF THE HAPPYSELF JOURNAL…
Having become increasingly frustrated reading daily reports in the media of how our kids are growing up stressed and how mental health problems are on the rise, Francesca wanted to do something to help children develop healthy habits as they grow up in this increasingly busy and switched on world. Unable to find anything to offer her own children that brought the science of happiness, growth mindset principles and the power of positive psychology together, she set about creating the HappySelf journal.
She believes it’s really important for children to develop the positive skills they need to support their own happiness. Through just a few minutes of filling out their journal children are able to reflect on their day, develop their emotional intelligence, boost positive thinking and develop positive habits.
We caught up with Francesca to find out how she nourishes and fuels her own mind:

Helping our children grow up knowing how they can help themselves with simple techniques and practices to positively impact their happiness and wellbeing.

My children inspire me every day to be my best self and it was for them that I created the HappySelf journal.

Taking time for myself to read, exercise, meditate and journal. Bringing mindfulness into my day.

Keep a gratitude journal. It’s such a simple practice but so powerful in helping us be more positive.
