Nicola is a Certified NLP Coach and creator of Affirmation Cards living in London, with a sassy 4 year old for a boss. She helps creative women to cut the crap and remove the blocks so that they can get on with putting their work out into the world and changing their lives, and other people’s lives in the process.

HOW DO YOU LOOK AFTER YOUR MENTAL WELLBEING?

“For me looking after my mental wellbeing is about maintenance.  I know that things like journaling, exercise, meditation and sleep help me to stay on track and keep the inner critic in check along with support from key people in my life who I know I can reach out to.”

WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE SELF-CARE TIP?

“Have a list of the things that bring you joy and it doesn’t have to be the typical spa day or massage, it could also be curling up on the sofa and reading a book, a long hot bath with candles, a big cup of coffee or a walk in the fresh air. Instead of rushing through and barely noticing when you are doing those things, become mindful of the experience, create an occasion out of them and really enjoy it. Then ‘gift’ yourself at least one of these things every day.”
